To calculate linearized stress, define a line (using the end nodes) across the section where the calculation is desired, Figure 22. Next plot a stress field in the direction of the stress that you are linearizing (SX, SY, etc.) from the results. Note that this is not possible with Von-Mises because it does not have a direction.

Then use the P3 ultilites, see Section 2 of this document, click ASME Stress Classification, Figure 23,
Then slect the line and hit apply.
